Long Past Due Date

Thoughts that become so stretched

Have I strayed from ironed suits to Creasey bears

Serving time without thought of clocks

Better days have seen tidier shelves dusted margot

No deed offered ever returned such scorn

Lost wings to see us return to first born

No spring shall be seen by eyes that fall

Precious seconds be hours lost ever more

So blind am I to surrender all this time

Given away without second thought that it was mine

Beauty of life how to be lost in black & white

Daily planning without pen is inspiration I forgot to recite

I left behind questions to find my love

Let go of what be hung above

No walls keep me safe or shall misplace

Words of good deed given with need

Old sand running down our prison walls

Time slowly turning to defeat us all

Falling notes thrown to better day

Down the drain be words of hope to heal this pain

My first love how I need to find some luck

What happened to my lovely lady ducks

Have they all flown to better shores

Gone under spell of night time chores

That sweet harp that my ear shall never hear

Bringing the serenity of her Daffy fantasy

Lady of fortune to what be our greatest gift

A love so tender if never felt how could one miss

I will sing on brightest clouds soon my love

Till death do us part shall you hear me from above

Smile for what brings joy to a child

Be the presence of such grace in every trial

A grand entrance be with such style.

Smiling with those eyes

Rising creek hides the crocodile
