Contractual Misery

Today in long envy of better views

Do I get the saddest news

An anchor dropped on sailing breeze

Sinking ship after storms weathered to breeze

No shoreline to be the coming seen

Best eyed intentions we double down on madness

Weighted justice to tilted equal

How it pulls us down

To the black water of disorder that drowns

Where lungs gasp but take no life

Best left foot forward

As the other drags to keep me up

Memories hang upon me like masks of cling wrap

Falling softly to Mothers call from deep

If this be the final day

To finalise contracts stained

With blood seals

Empty be the words

Of fortunes told

Only happiness sold

Sailing in that borrowed boat

Young boys dream so tall

Mother does call you in

Rolling ball down the neighbours burrow

Snake eyes have told of this

Now grown men

Must watch for sleight of hand

New beginnings come with old debt

Payed with slaves

As poor Mother cannot hold herself again

If one dares be keeper of brothers

Their secrets hold us far too tightly

In family ribbons do we tie

Our balloons to keep them from rising

Once a kiss from love

Be misery in Monday morning

Can’t see the young boy I was

I do not want this painted crown

Forgive me dear brother

A hug I miss most

Calling from our Mother

Stronger I be each day

With love sitting in the tub

Do we toast to better tomorrows

Two daughters in future memory

Do I see for the becoming father

An empath he be

To future Fairy Queens.
