Butterfly

These words be our weapons

Scrolled rungs on a ladder to find heaven

With tragic love on parchment do we anoint

Sharpened feathers to write blunt points

Inkwell filled of tears

How they write pages of our years

Lift us to skies so high

So we may see our design

Witness this fading dreamscape

Where once we made our escape

Fold these letters so gently

Notes never be fond memories

Wrap them in cobwebs and thread

Words written but never have said

Lady luck find me at peace

Folded so perfectly without crease

With softest prayer do we sing

Please give these words your golden wings

May they glide over days where we can’t find our smile

Fly with vision of no lost child on trial

Soaring love to dawn & dusk

Give my love eternal over lust

Guiding light be pathways to find feet

Someone who be lost; in desperate need

Our broken angel no ocean do you cry

Mend your heart with my beautiful butterfly

Place it over those poor scars

My inspiration, my moon, my star

Love yourself in times where happiness be far
